The objective of hardware made of technical ceramics is to provide fastening, spacing and securing of assembly components with requirements for low thermal expansion, high abrasion resistance, dielectric properties, long life, and compatibility with corrosive environments. Alumina screws and standoffs provide fastening, spacing and securing of assembly components where low thermal expansion, high abrasion resistance, dielectric properties, long life, and compatibility with corrosive environments are required. Zirconia offers better mechanical and thermal properties than Alumina. MACOR® can be machined with common tools.

Alumina Crucible
Alumina crucible made from 99.8% pure aluminum oxide, unglazed. These crucibles have high resistance to most acids, bases and metals. Not suitable for use with hydrofluoric acid, sodium metal, lithium metal.
